200 Hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh

Kundalini Yoga is the most spiritual form of yoga, which you can master after you have worked on your physical body. It mostly comprises chanting, singing, breathing exercises, and repetitive yoga asanas. The main purpose of the kriyas, that you undertake as a part of the practice, is to awaken the Kundalini Shakti. This shakti is female in form, and lies at the base of the Muladhara. Once, you awaken this force, it rises upwards toward the Crown chakra and fuses with the Universe. On the way, it passes through the seven most important chakras, that control several functions in the physical and mental being.

The various chakras that are located along the Sushumna nadi are the Muladhara chakra, Manipura chakra, Svadhishthana chakra, Anahata chakra, Vishuddha chakra, Ajna chakra, and Sahasara chakra. If the chakras are blocked, you will get messages in the form of outbursts of energy. You may also experience diverse emotions. So, it is necessary that you keep the pathway clear, by undertaking the proper actions or preparations that include asana, breathing, and meditative techniques. Once the female Shakti rises up, it amalgamates with the Purusha, which leads to the union with the Universe or the Cosmos. Most Kundalini Yoga sessions start with opening chants, followed by Pranayama, then kriyas, relaxation, meditation, and finally a closing chant. Bhujangasana and Padmasana are two of the basic poses that you will practice here.

Bandha

Bandhas are nothing but internal energy locks, that you will perform as a part of yoga. When you close the flow of energy to one part, and re-direct the energy to another part, it leads to the replenishment of the organs. The energy also gets properly distributed as a result. There are four main types of Bandhas, that you will learn in 200-hour yoga course. They are Mula Bandha, Uddhiyana Bandha, Jalandhara Bandha and Maha Bandha. You have to hold the breath during Bandha practice. You will also learn the correct way and time to perform the bandhas. When you hold the bandha, blood flow ceases, and when you release it, fresh blood flows to the desired organs. The bandhas are perfect for the chakras and nadis. You will learn about bandhas from the learned teachers, who carry decades of experience. You will need to practice all the three bandhas together, and that is what the Maha Bandha is all about. You will also get proper demonstrations of the bandhas as a part of the course.

Mudra – Gesture

Mudras are been used for a long time in various religions and spiritual activities. They are also an important part of yoga. These are gestures, mainly, which aim to transform various issues. Some are healing in nature, some are directing energies, while others aim to provide the practitioner with magical powers. When you practice asanas or Pranayama, you will often use this subtle gesture to bring about huge changes. When you perform mudras, the flow of prana occurs. You can also calm the mind, by just bringing two fingers in contact with one another. Mudras have the power to increase the power and the ultimate results of the practice. According to Ayurveda, which is the sister science, each finger represents one element. So, when you get these into action, the effects can be seen on various elements and their related function in the body. The most common mudras, which you will learn are Jnana mudra, Chin mudras, and Vayu mudra among others.

Yoga Teacher Training In Rishikesh Review
quote google icon review star

I have just completed the amazing 200hr YTT at Hari Om Yoga school. What a wonderfully intense experience! The course is very comprehensive and challenging you literally eat, sleep, meditate yoga for 6 days of the week. It covers everything from philosophy to pranayama, meditation, to ashtanga vinyasa and Hatha yoga. The teachers are good and Pramood and his wife ( the director of the school) are very kind and welcoming. The media crew Prince and Nitesh are friendly and do a wonderful job. Food was good, if a little monotonous and too many carbs for me, would be good to have a bit more protein. Rooms are clean, big and very adequate. The only real improvement I can suggest would be to start the teaching and sequence building a little earlier so that the students become accustomed to it sooner rather than the stress all piled into the last week. Other than that I highly recommend Hari Om yoga school, when you are embarking on this experience it opens you up and you need to be surrounded by good and caring people, and all the people that manage Hari Om are certainly that. All in all an amazing experience, dream fulfilled and would do it all again in a heartbeat. Thank you Pramood and all at Hari Om Vidya 🙏🏻 namaste and Hari Omji ❤️

Hariom Vidya yoga school was really great! I am very happy with my choice to come to this school. There was a great diversity in classes and teachers. Everyone was very involved and passionate and willing to answer questions. It really felt like I was part of a family and community. I made amazing friends and was part of a very supportive group. Pramood and his wife curated a lovely environment and everyone in the staff are very kind and willing to help. The rooms were amazing, lots of room and private balcony. Nice and clean. The garden is absolutely beautiful with lots of flowers, and gets a lot of afternoon sun. It is not uncommon to see lots of monkeys, birds, and bees. The schedule is full and busy, but there is a lot to learn in a short month and I think it was wonderfully organized. We had fun excursions and had the freedom to do what we wanted on days off. Not so much time to go out on class days, but there’s no real need as the food we are served is made with love and is delicious. There are little cafes near the school if anyone wants some sweets or tea, or simply to change the atmosphere a bit. I know that this is not exactly a budget school, there are other less expensive ones. But I think this one was worth every penny because of the holistic experience. You get more for your money. All in all, I am very satisfied with the training and I had a really wonderful month despite the intensity. It is important to listen to your body and the teachers will push your boundaries but if you set your limit, they will not surpass them. So make sure to always listen to yourself.
I would 100% recommend this school. They will always be there for you and make sure you feel at home.

My experience with Hari Om Yoga Vedia school has been very positive. They have made us feel at home and support us in any need beyond the yoga course. The environment and atmosphere are superb. The teachers are very knowledgeable and the organization of the course very professional. I never thought that my practice could improve that much in just one month! My experiences about my Yoga Retreat in Rishikesh:
I did my one Week Yoga Retreat at Hariom Yoga Vidya School in Rishikesh in August 2022. I'm so happy to have choosen this Yoga School, because it was like a Family to me. I joined all the classes for the Yoga Teacher Training which was in addition to the Yoga practice really informative for me. I was also taking part at the fire ceremony in the beginning what was such a great experience for me. All the people working in this school are so friendly and caring, I really miss them already!
At the beginning I was a bit scared to travel to India alone. In retrospect, however, I have to say that I had absolutely no reason to. I felt very comfortable and they were constantly making sure that we were doing well. The food on site was always really good and prepared with love. It was such a great experience for me and I am so glad I chose it! If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on Instagram: Christinaa.juliaa

Prior to arriving in Rishikesh I was seeking an experience of transformation and in many ways that's exactly what I received whilst attending the Yoga Teacher Trainer certification at the Hariom Yoga Video School.

The programme was recommended to me by a friend solely based on the curriculum as advertised on the website and without any real expectation of what to actually expect I got a very comprehensive baseline exposure to the extremely in-depth topic of Yoga and its ancient roots.

All the teachers were very knowledgeable and all carried a friendly and inviting nature about them. No question was ever stupid and they were all happy to go the extra yard to ensure that myself and my fellow students received an answer to any of our queries.
The location of the school is great, being. a short walk from the Holy River Ganga and other local amenities. The food at the school was also great and varied and the chef very accommodating. Pramod Ji the owner was extremely helpful and an amazing resource in all manner of ways.

In summary, I had a great experience and came away feeling a sense of accomplishment and new found sense of appreciation for the depth and scope of Yoga and the beautiful and ancient life enhancing practice of Yoga in all it's forms. Namaste.

I came to Rishikesh thinking I would be doing yoga with my mom for two weeks but that was only a part of what I did here. Since day one, my mom and I were treated with so much love and respect, we felt like family. It was the quickest I had ever felt welcomed.
As a recent college graduate, I didn’t think I had the energy to sit through any more classes but all the teachers were so personable and passionate that I was always engaged.
They put in so much effort into our fantastic meals, to take us on weekend trips, and to accommodate us in any way necessary.
I never thought I would feel so connected to a place or a group of people as much as I do here. I know that I’ll be coming back for sure, next time with my sister.
