Syllabus Of Our Course

Hari Om Yoga Vidya School has a spacious and well-ventilated yoga hall designed for students to do yoga and meditation. The course syllabus of our 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training In Rishikesh includes advance level yoga concepts that help in deepening your yoga knowledge. The class module is designed as per the specifications led down by Yoga Alliance.

Traditional Hatha Yoga Teacher Training

Hatha Yoga is one of the branches of yoga, which utilizes the physical body and external aura, to reach higher levels of consciousness. It is practiced at a slower pace, in comparison to other forms of yoga. The Hatha Yoga stream consists of various controlled movements and stretching. While doing the same, the maximum focus will be on your breath. It is the best, if you have just started on your yoga journey. If you are just starting out, Hatha Yoga can bring about a balance in two different levels of energy. So, it is also a form of initiation into the holistic ambiance. Hatha Yoga helps in the preparation for more higher forms of yoga, like Ashtanga Vinyasa, which are more dynamic. Unless your body is fit enough, you cannot do such dynamic poses. Moreover, Hatha Yoga prepares the mind for greater acceptance. So, you can use Hatha Yoga as a step towards a higher journey. It is very grounding in nature as well.

Ashtanga Vinyasa utilizes the asanas, breath, bandhas, and your gaze. You can call it Tristhana of Ashtanga. This form of yoga came into existence in the 20th century. It is often referred to as a modern version of Indian Classical Yoga. The individual asanas being linked with flow movements, drive synchronicity. You can also practice this form of yoga, without guidance. As A practitioner, one is supposed to first master the individual asanas, and then start with the rhythmic flow.

This collection of verses on HATHA YOGA was discovered in the 1930's by Yoga master and Sanskrit scholar Sri Tirumalai Krishnamacharya and his disciple K. 300 Hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh

The term ‘Kundalini’ is the dormant spiritual energy that is stored in the Muladhara or the root chakra. The practice of Kundalini yoga, awakes the snake lying there in the physical body. What Is Mantra ?

Mantras are group of syllables, or complete words, or phrases. Most religious and spiritual practitioners, believe them to have originated from Sanskrit. Om is the believed to be the first sound that originated on earth, and has divine connotations. It produces higher vibrations in the body and mind. Mantras also serve an important role in Tantra. You can also term it as a mind vibration that helps to focus the thoughts and feelings, and the highest intention. With time, the mantras and their vibrations sink deeper into the consciousness. You can practice mantra recitation to make your energies vibrate at a higher level. Om is one of the mantras sounds that assumes a lot of significance. It releases subtle energies, that can aid your meditation and yoga practice. You can chant mantras at any time, and place. But they have the maximum significance, when you chant them at the Brahma Muhurta. You will feel the vibrations emanating from the mantras, as you make them a part of your life.

Nadi Shodhana or Alternate Nostril Breathing is one of the most commonly taught Pranayamas. You can make it a part of your life. It involves exhalation and inhalation, through one nostril at a time. Bandha

Bandha is a lock. You can lock yourself in certain postures, to increase energy flow to specific organs. You can also call it the energy lock. There are four main bandhas, that the yogis practiced from early on. They include Mula, Uddiyana, Jalandhara and Maha Bandha. The Maha bandha is a combination of the three bandhas. Moreover, it is the highest form of body lock. Practicing bandhas involves muscular contractions. The Mula bandha is especially useful in awakening the Kundalini energy. The Uddiyana Bandha energizes the Heart Chakra and the abdominal organs. Likewise, the Jalandhara Bandha energizes the thyroid and parathyroid, along with respiratory organs. You can also practice the three together, starting from the throat. Bandhas help to lock and release energies from various organs, and increase blood as well as energy flow. You also learn to observe the performance later.

I have just completed the amazing 200hr YTT at Hari Om Yoga school. What a wonderfully intense experience! The course is very comprehensive and challenging you literally eat, sleep, meditate yoga for 6 days of the week. It covers everything from philosophy to pranayama, meditation, to ashtanga vinyasa and Hatha yoga. The teachers are good and Pramood and his wife ( the director of the school) are very kind and welcoming. The media crew Prince and Nitesh are friendly and do a wonderful job. Food was good, if a little monotonous and too many carbs for me, would be good to have a bit more protein. Rooms are clean, big and very adequate. The only real improvement I can suggest would be to start the teaching and sequence building a little earlier so that the students become accustomed to it sooner rather than the stress all piled into the last week. Other than that I highly recommend Hari Om yoga school, when you are embarking on this experience it opens you up and you need to be surrounded by good and caring people, and all the people that manage Hari Om are certainly that. All in all an amazing experience, dream fulfilled and would do it all again in a heartbeat. Thank you Pramood and all at Hari Om Vidya 🙏🏻 namaste and Hari Omji ❤️

Hariom Vidya yoga school was really great! I am very happy with my choice to come to this school. There was a great diversity in classes and teachers. Everyone was very involved and passionate and willing to answer questions. It really felt like I was part of a family and community. I made amazing friends and was part of a very supportive group. Pramood and his wife curated a lovely environment and everyone in the staff are very kind and willing to help. The rooms were amazing, lots of room and private balcony. Nice and clean. The garden is absolutely beautiful with lots of flowers, and gets a lot of afternoon sun. It is not uncommon to see lots of monkeys, birds, and bees. The schedule is full and busy, but there is a lot to learn in a short month and I think it was wonderfully organized. We had fun excursions and had the freedom to do what we wanted on days off. Not so much time to go out on class days, but there’s no real need as the food we are served is made with love and is delicious. There are little cafes near the school if anyone wants some sweets or tea, or simply to change the atmosphere a bit. I know that this is not exactly a budget school, there are other less expensive ones. But I think this one was worth every penny because of the holistic experience. You get more for your money. All in all, I am very satisfied with the training and I had a really wonderful month despite the intensity. It is important to listen to your body and the teachers will push your boundaries but if you set your limit, they will not surpass them. So make sure to always listen to yourself.
I would 100% recommend this school. They will always be there for you and make sure you feel at home.

My experiences about my Yoga Retreat in Rishikesh:
I did my one Week Yoga Retreat at Hariom Yoga Vidya School in Rishikesh in August 2022. I'm so happy to have choosen this Yoga School, because it was like a Family to me. I joined all the classes for the Yoga Teacher Training which was in addition to the Yoga practice really informative for me. I was also taking part at the fire ceremony in the beginning what was such a great experience for me. All the people working in this school are so friendly and caring, I really miss them already!
At the beginning I was a bit scared to travel to India alone. In retrospect, however, I have to say that I had absolutely no reason to. I felt very comfortable and they were constantly making sure that we were doing well. The food on site was always really good and prepared with love. It was such a great experience for me and I am so glad I chose it! If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on Instagram: Christinaa.juliaa

Prior to arriving in Rishikesh I was seeking an experience of transformation and in many ways that's exactly what I received whilst attending the Yoga Teacher Trainer certification at the Hariom Yoga Video School.

The programme was recommended to me by a friend solely based on the curriculum as advertised on the website and without any real expectation of what to actually expect I got a very comprehensive baseline exposure to the extremely in-depth topic of Yoga and its ancient roots.

All the teachers were very knowledgeable and all carried a friendly and inviting nature about them. No question was ever stupid and they were all happy to go the extra yard to ensure that myself and my fellow students received an answer to any of our queries.
The location of the school is great, being. a short walk from the Holy River Ganga and other local amenities. The food at the school was also great and varied and the chef very accommodating. Pramod Ji the owner was extremely helpful and an amazing resource in all manner of ways.

In summary, I had a great experience and came away feeling a sense of accomplishment and new found sense of appreciation for the depth and scope of Yoga and the beautiful and ancient life enhancing practice of Yoga in all it's forms. Namaste.

I came to Rishikesh thinking I would be doing yoga with my mom for two weeks but that was only a part of what I did here. Since day one, my mom and I were treated with so much love and respect, we felt like family. It was the quickest I had ever felt welcomed.
As a recent college graduate, I didn’t think I had the energy to sit through any more classes but all the teachers were so personable and passionate that I was always engaged.
They put in so much effort into our fantastic meals, to take us on weekend trips, and to accommodate us in any way necessary.
I never thought I would feel so connected to a place or a group of people as much as I do here. I know that I’ll be coming back for sure, next time with my sister.
